The NeuroClub – OR Visits Spring 2026

In April and May 2026, The NeuroClub organized half-day visits to the operating rooms of the Department of Neurosurgery at Inselspital Bern.
Members joined in small groups to observe brain tumor surgery and other procedures, getting a firsthand look at a morning in the OR.

Many thanks to PD Dr. med. Michael Murek, Senior Neurosurgeon, for making these visits possible!

The NeuroClub – The Role of Student Voices in Brain Health

At the SFCNS Swiss Brain Health Plan workshop on December 05, 2025, Kai Peter, Co-Founder of The NeuroClub, and Katrine Singer, SWIMSA Liaison Officer SBH, had the opportunity to discuss how student engagement can contribute to research and advocacy in brain health.

The NeuroClub brings a student perspective to this conversation. Student-driven initiatives can connect young people with the wider brain health community, encourage involvement in research, and raise awareness on why brain health matters.

For The NeuroClub, the workshop was a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants and explore how students can contribute to shared goals.

Thank you to Prof. Dr. med. Claudio L. A. Bassetti for the invitation and to all participants for the constructive exchange. The NeuroClub looks forward to continuing the collaboration and helping students take an active role in advancing brain health.
